KNOW THE POLITICAL TRUTH

Mercy me, sakes alive, and carrot coffee! The scriptures, in John 8:32, tell us “Then ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free”. But when it comes to Mike Ross, 4th District congressman, just what is the truth about him? Is he a Democrat in name only (a DINO), or a Republican disguised as a Democrat?
Let us now look at some major aspects of his record. Paul Barton, in a recent article our of Washington, D.C. wrote, “Arkansas members of congress, especially Rep. Mike Ross, continue to benefit from fund-raisers where corporate lobbyists are either the host or the main guests, according to listings posted by the Sunlight Foundation, a watchdog group”.
Ross, the Blue Dog, now says he is going to vote against health care reform, saying that he held some 35 town hall meetings on the matter in the 4th District and found his constituents to be overwhelmingly against it. But I think he misread what happened, because it was in his electoral interest to do so. I think that pharmaceutical company representatives, their lobbyists, Tea Party and other GOP members showed up at these meetings, hollering loudly and took them over. Also, members of the working class, the poor and the middleclass, don’t have the time to attend such meetings, often held at a time and place inconvenient to them.
Further, under the current plan, Arkansas economic benefits are enormous.
