NAY-SAYING, GREED PROMOTING OTHER- SIDERS

By Kermit C. Moss

Mercy me, sakes alive, and crying elephants!

Ye gads, it is certainly remarkable what is going on out there now! The nay-saying, greed promoting other-siders are busy every day, trying to obstruct and tear down what President Obama and his supporters are trying to build up. Listen up to what they are saying. Just read the newspapers, especially the editorials, and you will see it. “Question: Even if his proposals delay the recovery by raising taxes on capital, and so discourage private investment?” It seems here that over the past several years, especially the anti-tax, anti-government Reagan years beginning in the 1980s, capital providers in America have been so favored at all levels of government that they could do no wrong, such that with capital flowing in from abroad, the USA became awash with capital, and its use so little regulated, and greed so rampant that we suffered a killing economic meltdown, with a great loss of trust, both in the government and the economy. Along with this, consumption of goods and services has slowed down to a crawl, while at the same time job after job has been eliminated.

Let me emphasize the main point here. UNTIL CONSUMER DEMAND INCREASES, THERE IS NO NEED FOR MORE CAPITAL!

Also, give some thought to the fact that, as late reports have it, since the 1980's the average compensation of CEOs of major companies has risen from 30 to 40 times that of the average worker to 365 times he worker’s compensation.

Thus, can there be any doubt about who is getting shafted?
