THE QUESTION
By Kermit C. Moss
Here are some points to ponder:
Along with Bill Clinton, Halter is a
Rhodes Scholar and majored in
economics while there at Oxford. With the country still suffering from
the greatest economic downturn since the great depression, this is
precisely the kind of training that is so badly needed! Look at what
Clinton did. Even with a GOP congress, he led us into a budget
surplus!
Now for a look at Blanche. She has been up there for 12 years and
during that time our economy has been swamped with bad news!
Despite what she will say, it happened on her watch, and she did
little, if anything, to stop it. Along with the GOP she often sided
with the insurance companies and other big-money campaign
financing lobbyists! A recent report by Public Citizen indicates
that the CEO of Aetna, Inc. , over the last two years was paid
$47,345,946.00,which comes to $64,857.46 per day! And 8 other
large insurance companies paid their CEOs at similar rates!
As mentioned before, Blanche has had her
chance. Why not retire her
and give the job to Halter, with the high IQ and training in
economics needed by a senator?
